A Christmas Prayer

It is not, then, in lavish gifts that we find true giving, but in the sweet simplicity of remembrance, in the kindly thought, the tolerant mind and the gentle act. Love alone can give love, sympathy alone can sympathize and only goodness can really do or be good. – Dr. Ernest Holmes

And so on this beautiful day, I speak of Divine Love, that force which unifies and embodies all that I say, all that I do, indeed all that I am. How precious it is to feel that Love energy on such a special day as Christmas, when we remember and honor the Christ, not only as the person of Jesus, but as the spark that lives in each of us. Let us ignite that spark within and shine our lights outward to the world, speaking and knowing that Peace prevails, that Abundance is our eternal good revealed, and that Wholeness is our innate nature. Feel and know with me that these statements of truth are ever apparent in my life and in yours, and in each and every person who hears or reads this prayer. Shout it to the world – Life is good and we can and do participate and spread this goodness!

And so we remember – those that we love, both those that are presently a part of our lives as well as those who have moved on to the great unknown of Eternal Life. We allow our remembrance to shine a light on this day, with peace in our hearts, and an outpouring of compassion, gentleness, and kind thoughts, words, and deeds.

Knowing indeed that I am truly blessed beyond what words can express, I simply offer this Christmas prayer to each and every person these words reach, with a profound gratitude and with overwhelming love in my heart. And so it is.
