A Treatment for Health
Marilyn O’Leary, RScP
God is all there is. God is Love, Joy, Health, Creativity, Light, Comfort. God is radiant health and well-being. God is the body that works in perfection. I know that is true for me. I know that is true for every person where appearance is to the contrary. Health is here now.
When I call upon Spirit, it is here. It is always here for us. Some of us are accomplished in our lives as humans. We’re used to being active, to taking on responsibilities, to being the “go to” person. And sometimes we forget that we are human, and though God is working through us, we need to take care of our human bodies. We need to provide the best vehicle for God’s expression that we can. And that often means rest.
When my body needs rest, God is with me. When there is the appearance of illness, God is with me. When I feel I can’t go on, God is with me. God is ALWAYS with us, no matter the appearance to the contrary. Another way to say this is that, just because I do not feel well, I am not abandoned. God is always with, in and through me, no matter what the appearance.
As this is true for me, this is true for everyone who reads these words, or for whom I say these words.
In this time between the harvest and the fallow time of the garden, we can take a cue from nature and rest, knowing that rest is good. It takes faith to rest sometimes. But it can remind us that Spirit’s schedule can be different than our human schedule. We remember we can turn our lives over to Spirit, and trust Spirit’s schedule for us. We can set an intention for our lives, then turn it all over to Spirit.
I take a deep breath now and rest in Spirit, knowing that Spirit is here for me, right here, right now. I can turn it all over to Spirit. In faith. And rest. I affirm, I am health. I am love. I am taken care of.
I am grateful to Spirit for its healing love, knowing that as I turn my life over to Spirit, my work, my responsibilities, my goals, my desires, Spirit organizes it all in love for my highest good. I am grateful for my body that has taken me this far in my life. I am grateful for all that is, and all that is not in my life, knowing that it is all perfect.
I release my word to the law of life, knowing that it is taken and brought to fruition.
And so it is.
