Accepting Loss
by Marylyn Kirk, RScP

What I know is that there is only one eternal loving presence. It fills the universe, and it is everywhere present, now and always. Spirit is everywhere, in the seen and the unseen, the known and the unknown. This presence is the power of God/Love/Life, expressing in, through and as form. I recognize Spirit as limitless, that is everywhere present and available 24/7.

I know that I am a creation of this loving Spirit, and I express the life of Spirit. There is no separation. I am one with Spirit. All of life is one with Spirit. I am deeply aware of my unity with the presence and power of God. As an individualized center in the perfect life of Spirit, I express the wholeness and harmony of God. The eternal life lives in me and in all people, always. I know this truth for myself and I know it for every person reading this.

This day I accept that I am living in an eternal present filled with abiding love. In this day there is no loss or sadness in my thoughts. I accept my loved one’s passing because I recognize that Spirit is now and eternally present in, as, and through me as well as my loved one. Everything that was good yesterday is still good today. My life is peaceful as I am fully supported and held with tender love. There is nothing unhappy or despairing that can remain in my consciousness. I see the absolute perfection in my loved one’s new life in Spirit. The physical body has moved on, but s/he is always present in my heart. I know the true essence as Spirit lives on eternally. I sense his/her presence with me now, and I am at peace and rejoice in her/his new expression.

I repeat these affirmations daily:
• I trust life to be ongoing and eternal.
• I accept anger as a natural response.
• My loved one is always with me.
• I accept closure with my loved one.
• I accept peace and healing
I am so grateful for healing and peaceful acceptance. I am grateful for my loved one and for his/her spiritual evolution. I am grateful for all the good in my life and all the love and support I receive. I celebrate the responsiveness of spiritual law to this creative word knowing I can relax and accept the truth of it in this moment.

I release these words of life to the immediate activity of law and surrender this affirmative prayer knowing it is fulfilled completely and perfectly. I affirm it is so. And so it is. Amen.
