An Affirmation of Life

I Was Told to Live
By some inner mystic Presence,
I was told to live and to love, to laugh and to be glad.
I was told to be still and know of the One Almighty Power, in and through all.
I was told to let that Power work through and in me.
I believed that voice and I received my Good.
I am healed – The Joy of Life.

Today I celebrate the gift of life in all its glorious forms, all life and all lives, no exceptions. There was a time when I thought the great equity of life is that we all die; no one gets a pass on that fact. Today I know that the Great Equity is that we all live, no exceptions. Sitting in that blessed assurance and the equity of our oneness with the One which made us, the One who told us to live, I marvel at the Who We Are…no exceptions!
There is one Life, that Life is God’s Life, that Life is the Essence of all that is, and all that is, is Good. That one Beautiful Life has no beginning and no end, and is the sole source of all creations, each made of God’s essence and in God’s image. Embrace the magnificence of that thought, we are all made of the fabric of Perfection, Wholeness, Completeness, spiritual beings granted a physical experience. I am inseparably one with the One, and as this is true for me, it is true for all in the vibration of this prayer. We are all one with the One, and one with each other. We are all at one time or another told by the One to live, to love, to laugh and to be glad. We are all instantly privy to an audience with the One Almighty Power in each of us, all of us, no exception. We each have the very Power that created us working in and through us.
It is in the knowing of that Oneness that I celebrate this physical life in all its grandeur and glory, and in all its twists and turns, leaning into each with curiosity and positive expectation. I affirm the goodness of this physical experience and the pure joy of seeing you – each of you – through the eyes of the One who made each of us. We stand out in the uniqueness of being an individualized expression of God, and blend beautifully in our common equity of Essence.
I breathe in your beauty and our kinship this day, and remember to live, to love, to laugh and to be glad. I remember and thank the One Almighty Power that is in each and everything I see and hear. I praise the Power and Presence that works through me. I listen to the Voice within and know that all is indeed well. I affirm all Life today, knowing that all is good. And so it is.
