For Michelle Who Left on Thursday
by Rev. Martha Quintana, Senior Minister
There is a group of spiritually-committed professionals called Practitioners at the Rio Grande Center for Spiritual Living. This group is trained to know the Truth about every person who seeks them out (and even those that don’t) and to pray from this consciousness.
Practitioner and friend, Michelle Scholer, was one of these people who seemed to have a direct line to the Divine. When she prayed, spirit rushed in and whatever condition she commanded to change, changed. She knew, and she was grateful about everything in life. She remembered to bless and to be grateful.
Michelle passed away suddenly on Thursday afternoon leaving a big hole in our community. There wasn’t anything left unsaid between us, but I wish she hadn’t had to leave just yet. She made the world a better and brighter place. Fly high, Dear Michelle, until we meet again. This prayer is for you.
Prayer:
There is One Life, One Truth so ubiquitous that It is All There Is. This Life, the One I call God, is everywhere equally present. There is no place God is not – at the top of the highest mountain and the lowest point of the deepest ocean. All of God is at every point with all of what It is – Peace, Love, Goodness, Generosity, and Joy.
I call and align with God with such profound joy that all else falls away. I am that god expressing in my life as all that It is – peace, love, goodness, generosity, and joy. I am that. As I know this for me, I know this for Dear Michelle. In this moment, she is wholly, fully, intentionally, and mindfully aligned with the Good of the Universe. She is the expression of God in being and is peace, love, goodness, generosity, and joy. She has left this mortal coil and now knows God in her full expression of life.
I affirm and declare Michelle’s freedom. If there be anything holding her back at all, I declare its resolution. Michelle has other things to do now and she is free of this physical body. I affirm Michelle’s love and the love of all her friends and family is a bridge of communication between us for we are not saying goodbye, only so long until we meet again. All is truly well in Michelle’s world.
I am grateful for Michelle! I am grateful I had the honor to meet and walk this spiritual path with her. I am grateful for all the lives she touched and the uncountable ways she changed the world. I appreciate her service, generosity, and ability to always show up. I am happy to have known her and look forward to seeing her again. Until then, I release my word knowing that it flies to meet Michelle and knows its own fulfillment. And so it is. Amen.
