Going Within

Going Within
by Rev. Karen Linsley, M.A., Interim Minister

As I go within, I remind myself that God is. That there is this awesome power and presence and energy and light. I sometimes call this Thing the Force, for that is a way that I can best identify with It. It doesn’t matter what we call It.

What matters is that I also remember that this Force surrounds me, infuses me with power, is a part of me, and I am a part of It. Everywhere present. And so from the power I get with this communion, I speak my word.

I speak my word for unconditional love. Love for my entire self: my spirit, my soul and my body. I now love ALL of me, without judgement, without shame, without blame. I simply love. In fact, it goes beyond me loving. I BE love. I embody this wonderful aspect or quality of Spirit, and I do so in all of my affairs. And so as I go about my day, I feel this love emanating from me, surrounding and enfolding everyone I encounter today. For this I am very grateful.

And so with this gratitude I release my words, knowing they are already acted upon by that thing called the Law, knowing that love is spreading throughout the world because it began here, with me.

And so it is.
