“Soul-stuff” is that of which everyone and all things are made.  It has its own intelligence and moves quickly on thoughts to create a world that interests each of us.  We all are made of “soul-stuff” and it is that which manifests our lives.  Ease on over to the Rio Grande Center for Spiritual Living on Sunday at 9 or 11 a.m. and dive into the deep waters of the soul.

“Gratitude For Ordinary Things”

Marilyn O’Leary, RScP

Marilyn Oleary, RScP - Practice of Gratitude

When I was younger I used to look for extraordinary things to be grateful for, taking for granted things like fresh running water, illumination when it’s dark, and warmth when it’s cold. Now as I get older I am just so grateful for the wonders of experiences that seem ordinary, especially the wonders of my bodily senses.

That is particularly true for me here in Hawaii, where just being here is a wondrous gift. I am grateful for being able to smell ginger blossoms and coffee bushes, to see masses of purple bougainvillea and yellow hibiscus, to hear birds calling, to feel the warm sun and water, to taste papayas and pineapples.

This is truly a place of rejuvenation as these experiences bring me in touch with my wondrous body. As I experience these things I realize that I am one with nature, one with divine spirit, one with each human, and I can experience and feel that all is love.

I gratefully accept my role – to accept love and to be love – as I affirm for myself and all others perfection in mind and body, radiant health and well-being, joy and love. I know that as I experience these blessings I am in turn a blessings to others, as my being shares with theirs participation in oneness through love.

And so I release this prayer and rest in knowing that it is so.

What We Believe

What We Teach

We teach the Science of Mind, which is the study of Life and the nature of the laws of thought; the idea that we live in a Spiritual Universe; that God or Spirit is in, through, around us; and that this Presence is a loving source of all Good.

Rio Grande Center for Spiritual Living

VISION Connecting Community Through Spirit!

MISSION We recognize that an inherent desire in every individual is to realize the person God intended us to be. As we realize our true God selves, the greatest gift we can give another is to support him or her in becoming that God person too.

Most important, every man, woman and child who lives in the Universe is significant to the Creator. Our doors will forever be open to all…
