Intention

Intention
by Marilyn O’Leary RScP

Sometimes I forget that I need to check in with myself and set a general intention for the day before I look at the news. I did forget this morning, and so had to spend time getting myself back to knowing that Peace and Love are in me, that Divine Spirit is everywhere, and its essence is Love. So I sat up in bed and put meditation music on from Insight Timer and breathed in the word Peace, and breathed out the word Love.

Peace and Love. If I can bring Peace and Love to my little corner of the world today, I will consider that a well-spent day. I stop and breathe and remember who I AM. My work is to pay attention to what Spirit puts before me today, and bring Peace and Love. It might be the grocery store, a zoom meeting, writing up the minutes from a meeting, even and maybe especially reading the paper.

I give thanks to Spirit being in my Life, in all of Life. I let go of worry, concern, and see the Good, while being aware in Peace what there might be for me to do.

I let go of this prayer, knowing that what I put my attention on increases in my life.

Peace and Love to all of you.

Amen. So it is.
