My Prayer for Peace

I know that deep within every person the Divine Pattern of perfect peace is already implanted. – Dr. Ernest Holmes
As I turn within, I take some deep, centering breaths. And in this space, I recognize the power and presence of the one unifying force of Life Itself. Even in the midst of turmoil or strife, I know that God is always present. From this perspective, I am able to hold peace in my heart. For this needs to be my starting point — my own peaceful countenance. As I allow that peace to spread from my heart to the heart of all others I encounter or think about, peace spreads, and love is able to blossom. From person to person, I then learn to accept the free interchange of ideas and ideology. As more and more people learn to allow the free flow of competing ideas, peace can begin to move into nations, and thought patterns that seek solutions, not divisions. Hope abides. Love is always the answer. And so it is, right here and now.
