On This New Year’s Day: Let Love Have Its Way

God is Love, Pure, Unadulterated Love and It roots for us to know how glorious we are. Today, on this first day of the New Year, I pause to acknowledge the Beauty of God’s Love. I allow the depth of it to permeate my being. I allow It to speak me, to guide me, to pull me towards the highest version of myself. I let Love have Its way with me.
For I know that I am loved. I am supported. I am escorted by a Love so great that It can and does sweep me out of darkness. I have no problems. I have opportunities to know my own greatness. I have moments of being stretched by Spirit to know what God has always known – that I AM. I am creator. I am light. I am all that God would have me be. I am a blessing to the world and I am here to experience that truth now.
And just as I know this of myself, I know this for each person reading this as well as every person who is oblivious to their own glory. We are each of us the divine expressing. We are all children of God, walking each other home. We are here by divine appointment.
I see you. I see how timid you have been. How often you have felt as if you’ve wasted so much time. I see how the ache of self-recrimination has scraped you raw and left you feeling guilty, and I am here to tell you, “Stop it.” This is a new day, a new moment, a chance at redemption. You are swimming in Love. The Universe is conspiring in your favor. All those things that seem so daunting, they are God’s gift to you. Through them you will find grace; at last, you will come to know your true self.
I am so grateful for this clean slate where the innocence of being shines. In this light, I see the truth. There was never anything “wrong.” All problems are just stepping stones to greater love. Can you feel it? Can you allow it? Please, allow it. Let the salve of Spirit soothe you.
On this first day of the year, allow yourself to appreciate how deeply you are supported. And if you “fail,” know that that too is the path. Go boldly toward your birthright. You are perfect love, here to remember who you are. I am grateful to witness this in myself and in everyone. So come, walk this path with me. We will walk each other home to Heaven, and the Knowledge of the God’s Joy. It surrounds us always.
May you always see the blessings found in becoming that greater version of yourself, no matter how crooked the path. And so it is. Amen.
