“God will do His part, if you will do yours.” – A Course in Miracles

Watching the news, I am disheartened by the changes in the weather.  Our planet is warming up and the results are not pretty.  I cannot save the world all by myself, but I can do my part and urge others to do theirs.  Part of my part is prayer.

There is One Life.  I call it God.  It is our planet, for God is everywhere, in everything.  It is Beautiful.  It is Peaceful.  It is Love.  It is Harmony.  It is Health.  It is the Voice of Love and I hear It in the singing birds, in the road noise, and in the hearts and souls of every person on this planet, even the ones I don’t particularly like.  I know that God is there, for God is everywhere.  There is no separation.  God’s Will is my will because there is no separation.

Knowing this, I recognize my own connection to Spirit.  I know that I am never left comfortless.  I need not wallow in sorrow, for God is always present.  My sadness is a call to action.  It is a call to love.  My aching heart is urging me to love the beauty around me, to act responsibly and with respect for all living things, including Mother Earth.  You, too, are never left comfortless.  Do you hear the Voice of Love within?  Listen to how it soothes you with endless Love.

So in this moment, right here, right now, I affirm the hearts of all.  I recognize the God within each being and know that each person reading this prayer is connected because there is no separation.  All fear falls away never to return for it is not the truth.  All love takes root and blossoms into further beauty; therefore all the actions that are needed to save our planet from being destroyed are taken.  I affirm that each person does his or her part to care for Mother Earth.  Each person does their part to reduce their carbon footprint.  Each person does their part to be as green as possible.  Each person listens to the call of Love within and answers it in their own messy, imperfect, human way.  And when they fail to be as perfection as their own will would have them be, they forgive themselves because that’s what love does.

I affirm that we save ourselves.  We turn toward the Light.  We trust in God.  We know we are never left comfortless.  We hear what we are to do and we do it.  Thank God, we do it.

And I give thanks for that.  I give thanks that God loves each of us so deeply that no matter what path we choose, we are loved.  I give thanks that there is no separation and that my will is God’s Will and that  knowing that, I recognize that God’s will is for the planet to be saved.  I give thanks that each person reading this is willing to help do whatever they can to shift the world into the path of love.  I give thanks for the caring hearts.  I give thanks for the respect of the planet.  I give thanks that it is already done.  I give thanks that I am willing to do my part.  I give thanks that you are willing to do yours.

Then I let go. “God will do His part, if you will do yours.”

And so it is.  Amen.
