Something More
by Rev. Martha Quintana, Senior Minister

“We have been secretly fed from beyond space and time.  That’s why we look for something more than this.” Rumi

There It is, that One Life waiting to be noticed.  I notice It and It springs forward alert, vital, ready for action.  I notice Life and It changes the world.  This One Life is Eternality, Vitality, Beauty, Happiness, Courage, and Strength.  This One Life is imbued in all of Its Creatures with everything each creature needs.  It is the teeming vitality of the entire universe.  I call this God.

I am part of this teeming vitality.  I am one with eternality, vitality, beauty, happiness, courage, and strength.  I am imbued with everything I need and I call on it now with the knowledge that anything that no longer serves the vital energy of my life falls away never to return.  I am one with God.  As I know this for me, I know this for the person who reads this prayer.

I affirm and declare clarity that I might know that “something more.”  I openly invite that energy that lives beyond time and space to know me and through me to live my life.  I am one with the One and this oneness serves to create a bridge, an open space, to the mystical aspects of my being.  These “mysteries” give rise to that life that gives me the experience I seek and that deep love that I know.  I am enfolded in the arms of the One and my life moves in the direction of good.  It’s a good day for knowing and a good day for living!

I am so grateful.  This gratitude extends in the infinite directions of my life and touches all of my family, friends, and every human on the planet.  This gratitude allows me to fly free and to know that, although this human existence is only temporary, the life that experiences it is forever.  I am happy and grateful.

Knowing that all is well, I release my word and know this prayer is done.  And so it is.  Amen.
