The Edge

Today I worry about the eager blossoming fruit trees that line my driveway and my own impatient longing for spring. There is a desperation in me after a few beautiful warm and sunny days sparked my hope and fueled my daydreams only to be followed by this biting wind and gloomy sky.

(Breathe)

And then I remember. Through gritted teeth I fight to remember and with prayer I finally do remember that just beyond the horizon of this long winter is the beautiful exhale of life. I know that as the world around me transforms, I too am transformed. I stand at the edge of infinite possibility looking over the limitless landscape. I turn my attention to the crocus pushing through the seemingly insurmountable cold to be the bearer of good news. You made it! Keep believing! Keep working!

Thank you Mother Nature for the mirror. The end is in sight and in a few weeks I will look back upon this dark cold season with appreciation because yet again it made me more of who I am.
