“The Thing Itself”

Rev Martha Quintana, Senior Minister

Rev Martha Quintana, Senior Minister

There is nothing supernatural about the study of Life from the metaphysical viewpoint. If we study whatever seems supernatural, and thoroughly understand it, it will seem “spontaneously natural.” Using this study, we can go deeper in our spiritual practice, heal, and/or live the lives we have come here to have. Join Rev. Martha for a discussion on this important basis for life.

“The Year of the Mystic – Authenticity and Uniqueness”

Liza Kerr, RScP

Liza Kerr, RScP - God is Love

Nobody knows what your special gifts are, and you won’t know until you try to express them. Follow your own interest. It will lead you where you need to go.

You are an expression of this vast and wondrous universe. You are one of the things the universe is doing right now. This immense, mysterious existence is expressing itself everywhere at every moment. For the miracle to be expressed through you, it will take courage and a firm dedication to truth and authenticity. The greatness of the universe cannot be expressed by cowards.  Ralph Wald Emerson, Self-Reliance.

There is one God.  We believe this.  We also believe that this God is Omnipresent, Omniscient, is everywhere and is all things.

We believe that we are made of this God stuff; that the qualities of God are within us.  By default there is nothing in us that is not of God.  There is nothing in God that is not in us.  We are perfect in our being simply because there is nothing outside of perfection in God.  Whatever journey we are on, whatever experiences we may have are unique to us, and how we react to any given situation is unique to us.  It makes us an individualized expression of God as the One Source; each of us unique and uniquely expressing.  It is the idea of free will.  We are living a live that is divine and is divinely guided, yet we are expressing our free will through how we react to and are changed by the very decisions we make, and the circumstances that present themselves to us.  We are doing a dance that is produced by God, but choreographed by us.  We get to choose who we dance with, how the set looks, our mood, and our reactions to the other dancers as we come into contact with them.  We don’t always get to choose what happens to the vessel that is our body.  For example, if we become ill or someone hurts us.   People don’t choose to get cancer or to be attacked.  The only choice if this happens is how you react to it.   Does the dance continue, or does the show end.  Remember to dance as if no one is watching.  You can choose to be happy, joyous and free no matter the circumstances, or the outward appearance.  Heaven is within.

I choose today to allow the uniqueness that is me to shine forth.  I know that as long as I am authentic, I am free.  I am not constrained by how others think or feel, I am whirling my arms in joy and dancing in complete abandon.  As a small piece of the authentic me starts to shine through, there is no stopping it.  I claim this year as the year of being authentic, of allowing that which is unique about me to shine forth.  As we begin our year at the Rio Grande Center of Spiritual Living in studying the mystic let us each open our hearts to being authentic, being unique.  Remember who you are!  You are a unique expression of God as the One Source.  You are one of the things that God is doing right!  There is nothing about you that needs fixing.  You are perfect, just the way you are.  Trust that you are on the right path.  Replace fear of what might happen with faith that it will be alright.  Make this the Faith of God – not faith in God, absolute faith, absolute blessings.

I give thanks for this manifestation knowing that it has already occurred.

I release this prayer to the Law of Mind, knowing it cannot come back to me void.  AND SO IT IS! Click update click update

What We Believe

What We Teach

We teach the Science of Mind, which is the study of Life and the nature of the laws of thought; the idea that we live in a Spiritual Universe; that God or Spirit is in, through, around us; and that this Presence is a loving source of all Good.

VISION Connecting Community Through Spirit!

MISSION We recognize that an inherent desire in every individual is to realize the person God intended us to be. As we realize our true God selves, the greatest gift we can give another is to support him or her in becoming that God person too.

Most important, every man, woman and child who lives in the Universe is significant to the Creator. Our doors will forever be open to all…
