Treatment Poem

Treatment Poem
by Marilyn O’Leary, RScP

I woke up this morning thinking I would like to read today.

Just spend the day reading, but God had something else in mind.

A friend needing prayer for a dying son.

A visitor needing food for dinner.

Your friend has asked for appetizers for her potluck. You must bring them.

You need to bring compassion to a client, deep listening, love.

“You have things to do,” God says. “Your work, my work.”

You are blessed today, called upon to bring love in so many ways.

Recognizing oneness, knowing that what you do for one you do for all.

Knowing that every prayer with belief is answered.

Bringing healing, gratitude to every situation,

and letting go of any effort, knowing that God is in charge.

We are all blessed, knowing God is everywhere, and doing our part.
