Unconditional Joy

‘We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the
mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.’ – Buddha
In this moment, I breathe in Life in all of its pure essence. I am bathed in the
lightness of the Spirit that surrounds me, knowing that it is my Source and my
supply. I revel in my understanding of the ultimate principle — that we are all
One — one energy, one essence, one eternity playing out as each and every
being on this planet. As this realization comes to the fullness of its being, I
simply rejoice! Joy bubbles up inside like a glass of champagne, its fizziness
tickling me with giddiness. As I gaze upon the world, I feel blessed by so many
people and things to be grateful for — family and friends, my strong spiritual
beliefs, my lovely home and community. All of them can be a source of joy,
especially when I look beyond outer appearances that may at times seem
discordant. I set aside those feelings of discord and focus on the love and the
joy that is inherent in the purity of each one whose eyes I gaze upon. I see light,
I feel love, and I experience the beauty and yes – the joy, everywhere I look. My
heart is cracked open and I am filled to the brim with Divine Life. And so it is.
Amen.
