We are One
by Nancy Bowers, RScP
“Miracles occur naturally as expressions of love. The real miracle is the love that inspires them. In this sense everything that comes from love is a miracle.” – A Course in Miracles
“Miracles are natural. When they do not occur something has gone wrong.” – A Course in Miracles
God is One. One Life. One Love. One Whole. The Essence of It is Peace. The Essence of It is Truth. The Essence of It is Unity. Mother/Father/God – you may call Spirit by different names but that cannot change Its Essence, for All That Is excludes no one.
WE are It. I am the Holy Son of God Himself. You are the Holy Son of God Himself. Together we make up the Sonship. For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son and it is not that He sent Jesus to be crucified. He sent Jesus to show us how it’s done. To show us this is who we are; to demonstrate forgiveness. Choose Love. Choose Peace. We are not separated from the Father. We are not separated from one another. Miracles are our birthright and “Miracles are natural. When they do not occur something has gone wrong.” They are the natural outcome of extending love. Only the love matters.
So on this day, I affirm our wholeness. I deny any appearance of racism or bigotry. I deny any appearance of separation. There is nothing any of us can do to separate ourselves from God or one another. It is an illusion to think we are separated. We are the Sonship. We are God’s Beloved Child and we are one.
I call anyone reading this prayer to put aside difference; put aside ideas of right and wrong and embrace the truth of everyone. We are one. Only the love matters. I call for us to love each other fiercely, to see the innocence in one another; to have faith in the goodness of our brothers and sisters. Put away anger. Choose forgiveness. At the end of the day, love is always more important than being right. Love is our highest value.
I am so grateful to know Love is our highest value. I am so grateful to choose love. I am so grateful to be able to recognize that what is not love is a call for love. I am so grateful for God. “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me.” (John 11: 41-42). Thank you for the love, for the peace, for the willingness of a nation to put aside difference and remember You are always present. I am so glad to remember that God is in everything and everyone. There is no place that He is not.
And I release my prayer, knowing You always hear me and that therefore it is done. Peace is ours. We are whole. And So It Is. Amen.
