When I Doubt Myself
by Rev. Martha Quintana, Senior Minister
Like most of us, the world is constantly whispering in my ear about all the things I coulda, shoulda, woulda done if I were them. Sometimes world whispers good advice from love and, other times, it whispers manipulative advice from fear. The art to knowing which is which comes from discernment and discernment arrives when I am most connected to the self and my own intuitive voice. This prayer is for discernment and connection to the self.
There is One Love, One. This Love is the very fabric of Life and knows Itself through Life. It zooms through space at the speed of light, knows Itself as a star or a baby. This One Love is everything. It. Is. Every. Thing. Every. One. Love is Its own forces, creates from Itself, and requires only Itself. Love is Truth, Revelation, Understanding, Wisdom, and Holy Holiness. Love knows what It knows.
Love knows me. I am created from the same heavenly force that zooms through space at light speed. I am created from love’s desire to know itself so completely that I had to be born. Love could then look through my eyes, beat my heart, think my thoughts, and love my desire. I am love’s desire born again, and again, and again. Even now. As I know this for me, I know this for the love reading this prayer.
I affirm and declare clarity. Even when doubt whispers about all the coulda, shoulda, wouldas, intuition partners with discernment and I am clear. I know that I know, and faith takes hold. I know that I know, and wisdom activates itself. I know that I know, and all doubt slips away never to return. I am that life that gives rise to more life and there is no room for doubt. I believe in myself right here, right now. Peace is the order of the day, clarity is my state of my mind, and wisdom is what informs my actions. It’s a good day. As I affirm and declare this for myself, I affirm this, too, for the love reading this prayer. There is no room for doubt in your life either – only goodness, peace, and joy.
I am grateful for faith, grateful for gratitude, grateful for forgiveness, and grateful that I have given myself over to clarity, peace, and wisdom. Clarity is mine today and I love the self that appreciates all the qualities of Love. I am in the catbird seat with a view of goodness and there is nothing better than this! I am happy.
With a happy heart, I release my word knowing it cannot come back to me void; knowing that my prayer is accomplished and done. And so it is. Amen.
