Embracing the Good
by Liza Kerr, RScP
Sometimes it feels overwhelming to hear of all the bad things that are happening in the world. Man’s inhumanity to man, politics, economics, lack or general fear. Today, while gently acknowledging that it exists I turn inward to find Peace, Security, Love. I choose these qualities of God to sustain, nourish and protect me throughout the day. There is good out there, and plenty of it. Today I choose to see and to embrace it.
I know there is One God. That God is the Creator of all things. That God is my source. From the God of my choosing I allow all that is good to flow to me. I accept this gift of loving kindness and know that the supply is infinite. I breathe in peace, I breathe out love, I breathe in serenity, I breathe out goodness. If this is true for me it is true for each of you. Whatever you need, God is the source. Allow this positivity to permeate your being.
I recognize that despite any evidence to the contrary, people are inherently good. I believe this as a basic truth. I believe that people want peace and serenity in their lives. If enough people believe this we can change the world. Changing the world starts with changing ourselves. Each of us a small sphere of influence, reaching out, impacting the next person we see, and the next, and the next. We recognize the goodness in people we meet, and pass it on.
I am grateful for knowing this to be true.
I release my prayer to the Law of Mind – knowing it cannot come back to me void. And So It Is.
