God is
by Nancy Bowers, RScP

God is. I pause to allow the fullness of that recognition to settle deep within. God is. That Beingness is Pure and Total Love. Love everlasting. Love that cannot be tarnished. Love that can never be destroyed. Love that is everywhere present and there for the asking. It absolves us of our missteps. It loves regardless. We cannot lose our way, for God leads us.
God is and that heartbeat of Love is the very essence of compassion. That Essence birthed the Golden Rule. It is Oneness. It is the recognition that although we can appear to be physically separate from one another, our divine connection persists. What I do affects you. What you do affects me. What we do affects the earth and the creatures on it and all of it occurs inside that Divine Oneness where Love is always the answer because it is what we are. God is – in me, in you, in us all; even in the brothers and sisters who seem oblivious to this information. They are the ones calling for love. Perhaps God sent us to answer the call.
As I allow that fullness of that realization to permeate my soul, I contemplate that Oneness. I remember that what God is, I am. What God is, you are. What God is, we are. That Divine Goodness guides us whenever we are to listen. We are led to Love and that embrace is our salvation.
I give thanks for the simplicity of it all. All I need do to return to peace is choose love. I choose love. I choose God. I’m so grateful for the ease of it. Choose Love. Always.
So, I release my attachment to how I think life ought to be and choose God. Then I let it all go and allow God to do the heavy lifting for me. God is. I am grateful. And so it is. Amen.
