Love and More Love
by Rev. Kamatara Johnson, Director of Collaborative Ministries
There is but one loving source, the all that is, expressing an all of life as we know it and even beyond what we can understand. I know this one loving source is the essence of my being, the heart of my experience, and the reason for my life in the here and now.
When I remember myself, I show up as love and more love. I ask, “What would love do now?” Can I see the love that is present in this moment, just waiting to be recognized?
If I can’t find it, then I can bring it to the forefront. I honor that everyone is doing their best, no matter what that looks like. So I can experience a flood of love even in a fountain of rage. I open my heart to experience the love that is underneath so many of our difficult communications and interactions. It’s still there, just waiting to be known.
So I give thanks for the healing balm of love, the purifying cleanse of love, and the gentle breath of love that I am and you are. This way of being, the way of love, blesses me and all who cross my path.
I let this prayer of love go out into the world to do what love does best in the myriad of ways that love shows up. And so it is.
