New Eyes for A New Year
by Lesha Kitts, RScP
Today I stand strong in the knowing that there is only one Source of all that is and is not. It is known my many names around the world, but It is all manifest from the one Source. In my heart I call it Spirit. In my Being I call it God. I am of It and live as It.
This morning I had to stop myself, as I was getting out of bed and my auto pilot mind kicked in to EVERYTHING I had to do today and I felt the stress rise up in me. I recognized that that is not the way I wanted to start my day, or my year. So I got back in bed and closed my eyes. I waited for my new eyes to settle back in. The ones that open during the holiday season, and reintroduce me to the giver and receiver that I am when my heart is open and I am expressing fully my true Godself. I focused on relaxing and breathing. From this calm and peaceful place the light and the air is different. Or, should I say, my experience of it is different. I hear the birds celebrating the morning light. My body celebrates the warmth of my covers and the crispness of the air on my nose. Thoughts of loved ones enter my mind in hopes that I will have the opportunity to give and receive love with them today. I feel my face smile at this thought and my Spirit rejoices in just how good it is to be alive. This is going to be an amazing day!
I am grateful for the moment of recognition this morning, as God tapped me on the shoulder and said, “Get back in bed. This is not who you are or how you want to start your year. Open your new eyes and see that every moment is an opportunity for you to reach for your best and highest good! To be it, you must choose to be it. Just like you do every holiday season, when you open your heart to all the Love that flows to you and from you. So, get back in bed and raise your awareness to the fact that you are co-creating your life with God as your Source. Open your New Eyes this year and BE the blessed Gift that you are to the world. Acknowledge the Gifts of the others around you and celebrate with exuberant gratitude. Life is Good!”
With Awareness in my mind, Conviction in my heart, Illumination in my soul, and Joy expressing through me, I release my word into Universal Law, allowing it to shine to its fullest potential and accepting that as I have spoken, IT IS DONE!
And So It Is!
