Peace and Calm for the Holidays
by Rev Kamatara Johnson, Director of Collaborative Ministries

The Divine is everywhere. This Sacred Vibration makes up all of life, endlessly expressing and expanding. This is God. This is the Infinite Source from which love, joy, abundance, and peace flow out in harmony with the universe.
And my life is an expression of this harmony. I am God in action. I am love and joy. I have abundance and peace. God is, through me…and through all who cross my path. I recognize the Presence of the One Loving Source in all things. There is no separation.
Rooted in this oneness, I affirm for myself a deepened sense of peace and calmness as the holiday season takes off. I stand in mindfulness and listen in the stillness for God to speak and direct me. I release my mindless rushing around as I know that time is an illusion. Time expands and contracts to meet all of my needs. Even if I have quite a bit on my schedule for the day, I am not busy. I am a center of peace and love in all that I do. I honor each task and each person that crosses my path and savor the divinity of each moment. I slow down, I see what’s really there, and I enjoy each moment fully connected to the Divine expressing in my life.
So I give thanks for the holidays, the parties, the music, the presents, the food, the spectacle, but I also give thanks for the capacity to proceed mindfully and gently through the holidays. I appreciate the contemplation and deepening. I’m grateful for all the bounty and the time to enjoy such beautiful experiences. I know that I am blessed every day.
With complete confidence in the Law, knowing that I speak my word and it is so, I release this prayer. It is already manifesting in grace and abundance. And so it is.
