Prayer for How to Pray

Prayer for How to Pray
by Sue Hoadley, Former RScP

There is one overarching, all present and all knowing Mind. It is the source of all that is. It is the great designer, great planner, great lover of all creation. It is all good, all life force, health, perfection. It created me, my mind, my life, all that is me and all that I perceive and experience. It knows my every thought, every need, every desire. I know that every situation and circumstance in my life is governed by this great design. No matter how difficult or how wonderful, how agitating or peaceful, everything in my life is unfolding in perfect order, advancing my body, soul and spirit in perfect harmony and order in accordance with that great unique design for my life. As I know this is true for me, I know it is true for every being.

When I feel a need to pray or are asked to pray for another, whether for material well being, physical or spiritual health, I simple become quiet and remember the nature of this all knowing, creative Mind. I remember that all I need and desire is already here in my life. I simple bring my thoughts and attention to the truth that all is God, all is Mind, all is in perfect divine order and even though I may not see it now with my mortal eyes, everything is good. There is nothing more I need to do or be or say. Knowing all is well, we are safe, we can rest. Affirming this great truth, I feel such gratitude. I am thankful for knowing the truth, for all the great teachers, friends, scriptures and books that make this truth available to me. I give thanks and release these words into the great Mind and law of the Universe and simply say β€œand so it is!”
