“PERSONAL CHOICE IS DIVINE FREEDOM!
Question—What do you mean in Religious Science by being ‘FREE?'”
“ANSWER—Free Spirit—means that which cannot be b0und; It is free to do as It chooses, but cannot, of course, do anything that denies Its own nature. Freedom of will means the ability to do, say or think as one wishes; to express life as one personally desires. To be able only to think and dream of freedom would not be liberty. To imagine, without the power to manifest that imagination, w0uld be to remain in a sort of dream world which w0uld never c0me to complete self- realization. This is not the world in which man lives at all, for man’s world is one of self-expression, even though that expression appears at times to destroy him.
Freedom, then, means to eliminate from consciousness all those things which bind and limit the free flowing of the Divine Spirit through man, and at the same time, exercising the faculty of personal choice. Keeping the personal choice immersed in the divine flow of Spirit, one with It, brings to us the power that Jesus used, and the works that He did become possible to us. Man binds himself only by thinking, and it is because his mind IS the mind of God that his thought is effective. He automatically claims his freedom when he is convinced that he can use no mind except the creative Mind of God, and wills to create no limitation for himself. He is then ‘keeping his HIGH WATCH toward THE ONE.'”
Treatment follows this method:
” In the quiet of your soul, know with all the mind you can bring into action, that God, desiring expression through YOU, gives you your true freed0m, your thought medium being identical with His Mind. The same Law serves the Great Creator and the Specialized Creator, which is yourself. Know that to claim Peace and Happiness is to call out of the Law these experiences. Realize that there is absolutely no dividing line between you and God, that the freedom of God is your freedom. Then know that when you ask for guidance to speak only those words that will bring your happiness to you, this guidance will be an active directing force in your life and affairs. Consciously creating what you will to experience is divine freedom.”
