In This Ever-Shifting World

“It is almost banal to say so, yet it needs to be stressed continually: all is creation, all is change, all is flux, all is metamorphosis.” — Henry Miller, Sunday After the War

In this ever-shifting world of flux and change, I take some time to remember the Changeless Being that is the Divine. I drop anchor and moor myself in the One Love, the One Mind that is always present. In that stillness, I know the Truth for myself and all who read this prayer, that there is hope to human condition that lives as an outpicturing of the unconditional Divine. I am always changing and yet always the same at the core of my being, from when comes my peace and stability.

And so I turn inward in this moment and tap into that wellspring of the Divine to wash away any turmoil or tension I feel in my day-to-day life. Any sense of overwhelm, anxiety, or doubt, I throw it overboard and cast it out. I stop trying to row upstream by sheer brute force of will and obstinacy. I surrender any kind of turbulence in my day and gently glide along the smooth flow of the Divine. I am in alignment with the current that is perfect for my life now. Anything and everything I need crosses my path easily and effortlessly. I feel peace and fulfilment in my life regardless of what may be on the shores on either side. I am in flux with the river, changing and growing every time I let go and let God. I journey further, faster, better when I allow my sails to be directed by the Divine.

I’m grateful for this moment to change directions, to allow the metamorphosis that wishes to be born of this moment of me. I’m grateful to surrender the weariness of the relentless struggle and give in to the flow of the Divine in my life. All is well in the flow. So I release this prayer to the flow of Divine Grace knowing it is already happening in my life now. And so it is.
