Invitation to Be Here Now
by Nancy R. Bowers, RSCP

All there is is this moment. Now. Ideas of there being anything other than now are just mind expeditions. Fun, sometimes. Scary, sometimes. Unstoppable as it continually marches forward. Life is whatever we decide to make of it, always.
The one thing I know is that despite what my brain may tell me, it’s all perfect. It’s all Love, because it is all God — the Energy that expresses Life. The Suchness of All. Free of ideas that anything needs to be different than it is, I relax into curiosity. What does this moment have to offer? What treasures await when I let go of thinking, judging, and evaluating? Without notions of opposition, of duality, all of life just flows. Ideas of separation evaporate into wholeness as the impetus for the next action arises from the last.
“Strong people make good times. Good times make weak people. Weak people make bad times. Bad times make strong people.” ~ Andreas Ohrt, Everything is Infinite- Do Nothing, Get Everything
So, in this moment, now, the only moment there is, I pause. I allow my heart to open in appreciation. I savor the graditude of living in a first world country with ordinary experiences that would positively wow our ancestors. How grateful I am for clean water, cozy shelter, clean clothes, an abundance of food and medicine and experts to help with any problem my mind can concoct. As I child, if I wanted to learn about things, I needed to find reading material on the subject, or a person with the desired skillset. Now, I just go online and YouTube provides a multitude of brothers sharing their understanding with me at the click of a button.
And I needn’t worry about any of it. I need only to surrender to what is and follow whatever guidance I receive as to what comes next. God directs me when I remember to ask, which I only ever remember to do when I am in a state of appreciation. Present. Here. Open to what is. No qualifiers. Just acceptance.
It is a glorious, enchantment state. It is already mine the moment I claim it. Now. Now. Now. Just witness. Just love.
It’s already done, so I savor that. And so, it is.
Amen.
