Seeing with the Heart

Seeing with the Heart
by Nancy Bowers, RScP

Only the Heart see Clearly. For it sees with no desire to judge, only the longing to embrace.” ~Not Being, The Eye that Sees All

if somebody says something that we don’t like, obviously our resistance won’t stop them from having said it. What we’re really resisting is the experience of the event passing through us.” ~Michael Singer, The Untethered Soul

Sitting in the quiet, I pause to become aware. I drop into the heart space that recognizes there is nothing to do beyond accepting. I settle into the place of trust, knowing that what is, just is. It is only my resistance to it that arouses suffering. I do not know what anything is for because my limited perspective is incapable of grasping the enormity of the causes and effects of life. My perspective may dislike what is, but my distain cannot erase its perfection. My intolerance cannot eradicate its need to unfold. Beyond personal ideas that are incapable of complete understanding, Life continues to pulse in whatever way it needs to express. When I release the arrogance that opposes Beingness, I discover compassion. I discover the affection of the Heart. God appreciates it All. Who am I to question the Love?

Perhaps I have mistaken myself for the one what thinks it knows better than Divinity.

Then I laugh. Such foolishness can only be illusion.

My prayer is for surrender. My prayer is to release all effort and to merely sit in appreciation. My prayer is forever to see as God sees, with absolute, unconditional love.

May we forever appreciate one another for the embodiment that each of us is expressing. May we forever trust that It is always Love, even when individuals seem to be expressing anything but that. May we remember that being with the pain of allowing that which ego wants to resist is the path is greater Love. May we choose Peace. May we recognize we are living God’s Life and that the best way to enjoy it is simply to trust that God’s got it covered.

I need to nothing. And so it is. Amen.
