Choose, Don’t Chase

Choose, Don’t Chase
by Nancy Bowers, RScP

“You cannot hold intention and doubt at once. The field follows dominant input… When you install intention properly, action becomes obvious, efficient, and unforced.” — Choose, Don’t Chase: Master Manifestation by Selecting, Not Struggling — A Transurfing Based Approach, Anushka Srivastava

The animating force of life is God. At the depths of desire is a creative impulse that endeavors to reflect that reality into form. “To become the author is to stop asking and start declaring,” says Srivastava. What we focus on expands. When I find myself seeking permission, I know that part of me has yet to own the destiny I profess to want for myself.  Am I being that person?

God is certain. It flawlessly reflects our thoughts into being without judgment, without censorship. There is no element of doubt in the Divine, which does not judge our impulses to create. It simply says, “Yes.” So the question is, where are our thoughts focused? On our fears or on our loves?

I choose love. When I notice my mind wandering toward fear, I STOP. Is that the future I desire for myself? If I am giving away my peace, then I must have chosen wrongly.

Our thoughts create our reality and what I see in the world is a reflection of that. My intention is to notice what I am choosing to focus on and if it is out of alignment with my stated desires for my life, I choose again. As it says in A Course in Miracles, “I could see peace instead of this.”

But I do not chase, I allow. I trust Spirit to perfectly reflect my focus and I choose to focus on the good.  I choose to remember that I am responsible for where I put my attention. I choose ease.

I am so grateful to know what I can trust Spirit to show me where my thoughts have been. I am so grateful to know I am not being rewarded or punished; I am simply creating according to my focus.

So I let go of trying to control things and let Spirit do the heavy lifting. My job is to pay attention to my thoughts. God will reflect them. But if I’m chasing, I’m not choosing. So, I step back into alignment.  Choose again.

And so it is. Amen.
